Wanna feel comfortable AND special? This ain’t no beauty tip, folks, its the FUNDRAISER LOUNGE at the New Roxy!
The time is nigh – as you are plotting out your Juke Joint Festival 2017 weekend, don’t forget to factor in the Fundraiser Lounge at the New Roxy. The New Roxy is an ever-evolving work in progress, and we appreciate your support in contributing to our endless list of renovations and improvements.
This gets you:
- access to the Fundraiser Lounge and balconies on the second and third levels of the New Roxy, overlooking the front stage and the main stage
- light snacks and limited libations
***Please note that tickets to the Fundraiser Lounge are separate from the door cover charge on Friday for Bishop Gunn, and the shows on Saturday evening require a Juke Joint Festival wristband.***
We have stellar lineups this year both nights, so we expect to be pretty packed! If you want to stretch out, have plenty of room to move about, and be treated to some food and beverages, then join us in the Fundraiser Lounge.
FRIDAY night‘s lineup starts at 6pm with Thacker Mountain Radio: Juke Joint Festival Edition. This is the second annual live taping of the MPB radio show, and we could not be more thrilled to welcome back host Jim Dee and the house band, The Yalobushwackers. They will be joined by local faves, Big A and the Allstars, and Lucious Spiller with Cameron Kimbrough. If you were with us last year, you remember how special this event was. The New Roxy was full of music and public radio fans! We expect at least the same crowd, so get your Fundraiser Lounge tickets now to reserve your spot on the balcony overlooking the main stage area.
From 7pm-8:30, you can turn your attentions to the front bar stage (the lounge has a mezzanine overlooking this stage too) for Krista Shows and Scott Sharpe, who will have driven all night from Asheville, NC to downtown Clarksdale to play for you.
At 9pm, back on the main stage, Bishop Gunn make their New Roxy debut! This is a very exciting evening, and all you have to do is plant yourself comfortably in the Fundraiser Lounge at the New Roxy.
SATURDAY night is the official Juke Joint Festival extravaganza with Rev. Peyton’s Big Damn Band, followed by Blue Mother Tupelo. 8pm is when the Rev. Peyton show gets all fired up (literally) and Blue Mother Tupelo takes the stage at 10pm.
Where will you be? In the thick of it in the front row, center stage? This is definitely an exciting place to be, but you could also reserve yourself the option of sittin’ pretty up in the Fundraiser Lounge. Kick back and enjoy the festivities seated in one of our two lounge areas, or on the balconies overlooking the stage to maximize your Juke Joint Festival experience.
All proceeds from the Fundraiser Lounge go to furthering the renovations at the New Roxy. The vision comes to light with the support of patrons like you!
A limited number of tickets will be sold to keep the lounge comfortable, so get in with the right crowd now!
