Wednesday, March 23rd Spring is here and everthing is buzzing! We are open this Wednesday for New World Wednesday. As always there is no cover, just come down to the New Roxy bar for beer and sit awhile among friends.
Thursday, March 24th, we are excited to see Heavy Suga & the SweeTones at the New Roxy for the first time!! Heather Crosse, Lee Williams, and Walt Busby are no strangers to all the juke joints around town (Ground Zero, Red’s Hambone, Juke Joint Chapel), but this will be their first show on our stage. Shake off winter with us – raise a glass and get onto the dance floor for this energetic blues band! These seasoned pros have played with blues legends including Super Chikan, Bob Margolin, Big T Williams, Guitar Shorty and Taildragger. Their 2015 album, Groovin’ At The Crossroads is out and available now, packed with songs of heartfelt gratitude to the blues greats who came before them. You don’t want to miss ‘em! Cover charge at the door: $5. Doors 6pm, music 8pm.
